shaylie sharp, MFT-I
I believe that every person has the capacity for growth, healing, and meaningful change. Sometimes life's challenges can leave us feeling disconnected—from ourselves, our relationships, or the future we hope to create. My goal is to provide a space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported as we work together toward lasting change.
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I take a systemic approach to therapy, recognizing that our relationships, experiences, and environments all shape who we are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, family conflict, or simply feeling stuck, I strive to approach each session with curiosity, compassion, and respect for your unique story.
I especially enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families as they strengthen communication, rebuild trust, deepen connection, and develop healthier patterns. I believe therapy isn't about "fixing" people—it's about helping people better understand themselves, discover their strengths, and create the lives and relationships they want.
My work is influenced by evidence-based approaches including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Gottman Method principles. I tailor therapy to each client's goals, recognizing that no two people or families are exactly alike.
Clients often describe my style as calm, collaborative, and thoughtful. I value creating a space where difficult conversations can happen safely, where curiosity replaces judgment, and where hope can begin to grow—even during life's most challenging seasons.
It would be an honor to walk alongside you as you move toward greater clarity, resilience, and connection.
